can anyone tell me the meaning of ”nar ho” in the poem ”nar ho na nirash karo maan ko by maithili sharan gupt?

जमा-घटा के फेर-गणित में काहें फंसते जाते हैं.
बड़े कह गये इस दिन कुछ मूल आदर्श बनाओ,
भविष्य में कुछ गर्व-पूर्ण करने की शपथ उठाओ,
पर लोग अक्सर इस दिन तोहफे गिनते जाते हैं,
जमा घटा के फेर-गणित में काहें फंसते जाते हैं.
आज जगत में आए थे,आज ही कर्मठ बन जाओ,
ये दुनिया रण-शेत्र है , रण-भूमि में डट जाओ,
शत्रु के बाणों में शुभ-संदेशों की उम्मीद लगाते हैं,
जमा-घटा के फेर-गणित में काहें फंसते जाते हैं.
हम तुम्हे सन्देश नहीं , उपदेश देने आये हैं,

can anyone tell me the meaning of ”nar ho” in the poem ”nar ho na nirash karo maan ko by maithili sharan gupt?
does nar ho indicate an address to the humankind or does it mean that you are human beings? please clarify. to the best of my knowledge ” nar” means male. please help..
